Last week, Year 5 were invited to an Easter Experience in St. Michael’s Church organised by Rev. Jenny. In groups, the Year 5 children visited different stations to learn about the events in Holy week for Christians leading up to Easter Sunday, including Palm Sunday, the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday, going into the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was betrayed, and his crucifixion on Good Friday. The children enriched their learning with experiences such as (pretend) washing of the feet and even got to partake in a pretend Last Supper, with grape juice and unleavened bread. They were very interested and behaved impeccably. A big thank you to Rev. Jenny for organising a great afternoon.
